Event Details

The Kimbell Art Museum is presenting the first ever United States exhibition of the work of Italian Baroque artist Salvator Rosa.  A name unfamiliar to most of us, Roca was a star of 17th century Italian art, and the thirty-six paintings on exhibit will showcase this rebellious artist’s unique and evocative style.

Italian Club of Dallas Members and Guests will be treated to an hour-long docent tour of the exhibit on Saturday, March 26, starting at 10:30 a.m.  After the tour, participants can spend more time enjoying the museum’s outstanding permanent collection, including the recently-acquired “Christ and the Woman of Samaria” (dated 1619-1620) by Italian artist Guercino.  Anyone who would like to spend more time in Fort Worth can enjoy lunch in Sundance Square with other Kimbell tour participants after our time at the museum.

Normal Kimbell exhibit admission prices will apply, but the docent tour is provided to the ICD Members at no cost.  Please contact Mary Ann Webster at culture@itcd.org with any questions.  (You can also RSVP at the Clubhouse to avoid online service fees.)
